This project is an ideal example of reconciling bioclimatic considerations with the desire for modern architecture.

We designed a house that embodies the essence of the modern and the contemporary, while embracing the bioclimatic challenges of French Guiana’s tropical climate.

This residence is not just a modern work of art; it is a showcase of energy efficiency, designed to provide optimal protection from solar radiation and to encourage natural ventilation.

The major challenge of this project was its siting: the house is built entirely on a rocky outcrop, with some parts cantilevered over the void. To achieve this architectural feat, a detailed topographical survey of the rock was essential. We then modelled the rock precisely to ensure that the house would fit perfectly into its natural environment, demonstrating our commitment to an architecture that respects and enhances the unique landscape of French Guiana.
